| Cambridge skipjack race canceled because of high winds: The river portion of the September 26 Choptank Heritage Skipjack Race was canceled. Organizers instead held a Skipjack Heritage Festival with dockside exhibits and tours of historic skipjacks.

Until I get together with the others to put together a final recap of all three races, here is a montage of photographs from this year’s events. Most of the images were provided by Tim Mangus who we are all indebted to, along with contributions from others.
If you submitted a photograph that appears in this collection and I have not properly credited you, please contact me through our Skipjack Heritage website through the contact form on our website so I can make the correction.

Thank you to everyone who shared their photographs and helped us capture the people, boats, and memories of the 2026 Triple Crown Skipjack Races.
A very special shout-out and heartfelt thank you to Susan Schneider for her selfless efforts, dedication, and personal sacrifice.
Susan has been a tremendous part of the work behind the scenes, giving her time and energy to help make all of this possible. Her contributions may not always be visible to everyone, but they have been an important part of the success of these events.
Susan, thank you for everything you have done—and continue to do—for the skipjack community. It truly could not have been accomplished without you. |
