| Faces is a project introduced to the community to honor the many individuals, past and present, who have lived throughout the greater Deal Island area and its surrounding townships.
A collection of photographs from the Skipjack Heritage archives has been compiled into a GIF presentation and added to our Photo Gallery under FACES. These images are collected in their original format—unedited and preserved in their authentic form. While some photographs are clearer than others, many originally appear in black and white or sepia tones. If your ancestors are from the greater Deal Island area, you may recognize familiar faces among them. These images, many of which are from generations past, belong to the community and especially to the families connected to them.
Each photograph in our Photo Gallery has been digitally restored as best as we could, where others will eventually be restored and enhanced to improve quality. Additional images of local individuals and families that have not yet been posted will be included in the future. Although the current collection is just an early stage, it provides a meaningful preview of the completed archive and presentation.

If you live out of town, you may send your copy to wes@skipjackheritage.com. We would love to hear from you and encourage you to share any memories you might have.
