Just announced from the Skipjack Nathan of Dorchester: Due to very high winds we are cancelling the river portion of the Choptank Heritage Skipjack Race on Sept. 26.
Instead we invite everyone to a Skipjack Heritage Festival at the County Bulkhead, behind the County Office Building, The show is from 10 to 12 noon. We will have exhibitors and offer boat tours of the historic Skipjacks in the harbor. This site is protected from the heavy winds and will be a safe and comfortable place to witness our Maritime Heritage. |
