Skipjack Heritage Days at Sandy Point State Park

Sandy Point Race Results!

First place: Skipjack Ida May

Second place: Skipjack Rosie Parks

Third place: Skipjack Messenger

Of special note, fourth place was Skipjack Han-Em-Harv with Capt. Hannah Whitelock at the helm, less than two minutes behind Messenger. Captain Hannah was Fourth Overall, but takes First Place in Working Boat. Those three finishing before Hannah are all Non-Working boats, meaning that they no longer dredge oysters.

The course was shortened due to lack of wind and brewing storm conditions so the boats could get on their way back to home ports.
