An Evening of Skipjacks will take place on Monday, August 24 at 6:00 PM at the Museum of Eastern Shore Culture, located at 218 W. Main Street, Salisbury, MD 21801.

This event is dedicated to honoring Maryland’s maritime heritage through storytelling, film, music, and community engagement. The program will highlight the history of skipjacks and feature traditional music and songs. Attendees will have the opportunity to watch a screening of the documentary "Voices of the Skipjack" and hear stories directly from skipjack captains, including our own Capt. Stoney Whitelock and others who will share their personal experiences and memories.

A question-and-answer session will follow the presentations, and refreshments will be provided. The event is presented by the Museum of Eastern Shore Culture, Skipjack Heritage, Inc., and the Beach to Bay Heritage Area.
