Passing of Skipjack Heritage Board Member, Museum Staffer- Sandra Lee "Sandy" Townsend

We regret to announce the sudden passing of Sandy Townsend, a dedicated board member of the Skipjack Heritage Museum.

Sandy served as Secretary of the Board for many years, working diligently to support the museum’s mission. She contributed in every way—from maintaining the facility to greeting visitors with warmth and enthusiasm. Her commitment and willingness to help wherever needed made a lasting impact. Sandy will be deeply missed by all who worked alongside her.

She is survived by her husband, Steve, and her sister, Sherry, who also serve on the Board, as well as her son, Stevie.

Sandy’s absence leaves a profound void, but her memory will remain in the hearts of all who knew her. The museum family encourages the community to keep her loved ones in their thoughts during this difficult time.
